I reached school at 12noon for ADC committee meeting. Then went to teach JianNing and Angie guitar.
3pm was the meeting for the vietnam trip. Mr.Kassim fractured his shoulder. Unfortunately his director doesn't allow him to go for the trip. So after MUCH MUCH MUCH deliberation, the trip is confirmed postpone to 24th March.
I already changed my attachment from the 1st 3 weeks of holidays to the last 3 weeks, so my attachment starts on the 24th March! Great. =(
Ms.Janette, the facilitator of the trip, has already emailed Ms.Doris Chan to change my attachment dates, but it's highly impossible that it'll happen coz the attachment for the 1st weeks has already started. =(
I'm REALLY disappointed and so are the rest who coulden't go because of the change in date. Actually I'm rather davastated.
Now I have another thing before me which I'm praying really hard for. If I can negotiate with Doris to change my attachment to 17th March, I will finish my attachment on 4th March, then I can take a plane to ChiangMai myself and join the church's mission trip. =) It's POSSIBLE!!!! But only if Doris is able to do me this favour. Pls pray for me. But it's very very expensive too. =(
I enjoyed today's worldskills training, partly because I like the lecturers!! Ms.Chiang Ching Ching was there, along with another lecturer, Ms.Jenny Chew. Ms.Chew is really nice!!! Ok both are really nice! =)
I was asked to show that height does not matter to rescuing a choking victim. Ms.Chew asked one girl if there's anyone smaller than her...and yes I raised my hand knowing that I'm the smallest in the group. HAHA. So I was paired with the tallest girl of the group to be the choking victim. And I managed to "rescue" her! HAHA. I can reach her. =)
Then we practiced CPR on the dummies. I grouped with Diana, Amelia and Jane. By the time Ms.Chew came over, Amelia and I haven't done the CPR yet. So she assessed us. After I did my CPR, Ms.Chew had to leave. And before Ms.Chew left, she told Ms.Chiang that I have counting problems!! AND..the WHOLE CLASS HEARD IT!!! AHHH! Super embarrassed. And yah..I saw Ms.Chiang burst into laughter! *Blush*
After Ms.Chiang changed the masks of the dummies we had 2 more demo on choking rescue and CPR. I did the CPR demo. Thanks Jane for counting for me...or I would have "ga-bra" big time. After 5 cycles of CPR, my hands were already red from all the chest compressions and my mouth sore with all the blowing. Haha. Then I assess for pulse...and Ms.Chiang said in a usual gentle quiet voice, "No pulse. What do you do next?"
I heard the "no pulse" ring through my head. FAINTS! HAHA. I must have said in a going-to-die kind of voice "ahhh...perform CPR again". And yes the class laughed at me again..*sigh*. And Ms.Chiang said, "Okay I shall spare you, before I have to do CPR on you."
HAHAHA. She's nice. =)
Oh YAH. Diana was practicing recovery position on me. And she turned me a couple of times and I think she positioned my hand such that when I rolled over my hand, I actually roll over the elbow bone of my hand. It SUPER SUPER HURTS! Like my whole body weight press on the bone. ARGH. So we asked Ms.Chiang and she just flip my hand over, from palm-down to palm-up. Then okay le. Hahaha...cool.
I still very upset about not being able to go for the vietnam trip and the church mission trip is very expensive. Going for worldskills training made me happier.
Tomorrow's my bday. Going swensen! =)
Happy 18th Bday to me! M18 here I come!
Bye!
