Yah. Fam's really really really extremely nice. Come to think of it, I was praying hard she won't be my CI during orientation. She was sitting across the theatre so I could see her really clearly and she was frowning almost all the time. so I was rather frighten of her...but say, she turned out to be a sweet person. =)
Learned a lot from her...and I feel really safe when she's around. haha..means the other nurses can't bully me or my friends. *grinz*
Today I went to work and I anticipated the nurses reactions towards me. Coz my face is really RED, and yah..when Fam saw me she probably thought I was seriously ill or what la, she literally exclaimed, "AI YO! What HAPPENED to you?!?!?"
And she said please don't take MC..haha. Today there were about 3-4 MCs, and it's not the first time this many take MC. Yah..extremely high MC rates for a 15ppl group.
Had another session with Fam, she taught us the basics about IVF and how to schedule. =)
Was really really free today...so went to chitchat with the health care assistant, asked her why she's a HCA and how to climb the ranks of nursing. haha. Then we went to bombard Fam with questions. What does she do when there are no students, are we paid for our attachment, bonding and sponsorship. Then asked if she was married!! HAHA! After that we had to draw the line between concern and kaypoh. Haha...
I'm seriously considering bonding with TTSH, but I'm still worried if I can keep or even meet the grades at the level required. Perhaps I'll talk it out with Fam tomorrow. She encouraged me to bond...anyway she's trying to recruit people into TTSH..got motive de. Tsk. haha.
I have a phobia giving bedpans! I always need someone with me! But today I managed to do it alone..once. Haha. The rest Lela was with me. =) Thanks pal.
Okay...I would like to say that I was literally in PAIN THE WHOLE DAY. My SHOULDERS..omg. And my sunburnt shoulders and face...when the uniform rub..OUCH OUCH OUCH. Faints. And LELA whacked me hard on my left shoulder...*SCREAMS* Then lai ying and syahidah hit me so many times and FAM also went to tap me on the shoulder. Omg..I could have died. Hahahaha...
OH...this is super hilarious. Feraldine has some skin probs suddenly and her face has some red patches. Then a staff nurse thought feraldine and I went kayaking together! she thought feraldine had sunburnt too! Haha...yah. And laiying, syahidah and I kept teasing feraldine about the red patches.."blusher problem", "make-up disaster'. And omg today feraldine ate TWO BOWLS OF NOODLES. She was totally binging la.
Syahidah isn't the person I thought she was in school...she's so different during attachment. So pleasant, hardworking and cheerful. =0)
Tomorrow's my case study presentation day!!! Gotta present my case study to Fam...ALONE. How scary is that? Ok la..but I don't really know what to expect though the others told me it's okay. There'll be another session with Fam tomorrow to discuss Fall Precautions and the use of Restraints. I like the sessions, get to sit down (most important), and yah..get to learn something from an experieneced nurse.
Okay 2nd last thing coz this entry is terribly lengthy. The Sister gave the staff nurses a scolding today! Said the staff nurses depend too much on the junior nurses. haha. =) Quite true though...from observation.
LAST THING...Results will be out on FRIDAY. OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS. Though most people always tell me I have nothing to fear, excuse me, I have every right to FEAR. It's my first exam in NYP and I really studied hard...so I better yield good good results. =)
