I think I'm deyhydrated. 6 hours kayaking under the hot sun on saturday and I hardly drank any water during and after the expedition. And little fruits. Sigh...anyway, just recovered from a fever and now my throat is very sore. Swallowing is a real pain! Sigh..lesson learnt.
Anyway...my best-pal-kayak-rescuer is going tekong tomorrow! Starting his 2 years of serving the nation. SOB SOB. Take care FanHao!
Shall talk about saturday's kayaking trip. Went kayaking earlier, 9.30a, with theo coz the 5 guys changed the meeting time so abruptly to 11am due to the rain..and theo was already on the train.
The water in kallang is dirty and it's low tide so I could still touch ground even when I kayaked out from shore. Okay..the ground is not really ground..it's a thick gooey, mushy, smelly layer of sludge. It's DISGUSTING. *chokes*
The 5 guys finally came and I have NO IDEA how come they started calling me dragonfly. hahaha...fanhao launched off happily, snugged in his kayak, and then he capsized. Sheesh. hahaha!!!
The guys forced me to do capsize drill. sigh. haha. Then we went on expedition. We kayaked till we could see the big big ferris wheel and NDP stage! HAHA. Can watch the big TV facing the sea, showing all passing out parade. hahaha..so cool. Then a police coast guard boat came and said we could go no further. Sigh. Then we asked the policemen to take picture for us with the big ferris wheel as background.
We had skills practice. I capsized a couple of time. Sunny is king of capsize..he capsized like 30 times? hahaha.
Was totally BEAT when we finally reached shore. hahaha...So FUN kayaking with them..and rather safe coz I know they're skilled and will save me. hahaha..
Wk 14 is test week. In a sense. 1 presentation, nursing practical test, bio practical test. GAH GAH GAH.
Oh...today I went to measure for my student nurse uniform. Reminds me of GB uniform. hahaha..but it's more comfy. oOpx.
My cousin Fern, nearly 2 years old is really cute. hahaha...so fun to disturb her. And she won't share her favourite food with me! Not that I want though..she loves cheese and avocado. Yucks! haha. Everytime I go near her with my outstretched hand, she'll quickly turn away and pretend she didn't see me. Tsk! Then as I slowly turn away, her hand will reach out and stuff the food in her mouth. GEE.
Kids nowadays...rather smart! haha.
