Ha ha ha...
Ok..I'm going to scatter and splatter all my thinkings into this entry.
Today we learnt how/when/why to give a bedpan or urinal to patients. I think during this lesson, many of us see the true nature and reality of nursing. You've got to do things that people will NEVER think of or find it degrading. One even commented that she wonder if she can stand clearing up somebody's mess.
Lately I've been wondering if I've chosen the right track. As much as I would love to care for the sick..but it seems like nursing maybe too much for me to take. It's not the messes of faeces, urine, blood and vomit that I'm worried about. I'm worried about the pressure that will be on me.
One mistake and a big lawsuit will be slapped in my face.
One day a lecturer said, "nursing is a PEOPLE-ORIENTATED job."
My eyes actually widened with fear. I seriously dug deep into heart. PEOPLE-ORIENTATED? I never KNEW that.
My entire perception of nursing came crashing down. I thought nursing was just all DOING..I never thought of the COUNSELLING, the COMMUNICATING, the CLIENT ADVOCATE part.
>.<
Right. That's enough.
2nd June, saturday is a big day! =) Sports day at TPMC! I'll be playing guitar in the social hall! Yay! *squeals*
I have The Habitudes Experience conference to attend...at BEDOK.
I'm beginning to DREAD going to this post-sec Warrant Officer course. My purpose of not choosing a CCA that does not fall on saturday is be down at the school with my GB company, so at GBC. But then again, I have to get my promotion. Blow it! *squirms*
Presentation on Monday. *rolls eyes and flutters eyelids* I feel kinda like a control freak sometimes..as I've mentioned to LayHo, who feels the same as well. But I have to take the lead, since the leader herself is always in a daze. haha. She's really funny that girl. She can be walking in front of us, and she'll just disappear. And then call us coz she can't find us. hahaha. That's literally LOST IN HERSELF.
Righto.
Here's a question: Why don't osyters give to charity?
Coz they're SHELLFISH.
HAHA.
God bless all the nurses, doctors..and nurses and doctors to be. You'll need it.
Bye.
